Ingredients:
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
6 cups whole milk
2 cups heavy whipping cream
2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
mini marshmallows, for topping

  1. In a 4-quart (or larger) slow cooker, combine all the ingredients. Give it a good stir. Updated to add: Some folks felt it was easier to heat up a cup of milk, then stir in the cocoa. It was mentioned that the cocoa blends in better this way. Then the warm milk mixture is then stirred in with the rest of the ingredients.

  2. Cover and cook on low for about 2 hours. Stir occasionally as it warms up.

  3. It's ready when all the chocolate chips have melted and mixture is warm.

  4. Ladle into mugs and top with marshmallows or whipped cream and a mini candy cane!

Countdown to Christmas Day: Sit with your family and cut and connect paper strips to form a chain marking each day until Christmas. This is a fun alternative to the regular Christmas Advent calendar (And cost efficient for all those who have already spent all their money on gifts!) This is a great way to create excitement for the holiday season and your favorite Christmas traditions!

No matter how you celebrate the holidays the most important thing is that you celebrate together! Maybe, just maybe, you will be inspired to create a few new decor items of your own!

Visit Santa Claus: Take a break from shopping to let the kids sit on Santa's lap, and tell him what they would like for Christmas! Whether full of tears or cheers this holiday photo op makes great memories! This could be the start of a beautiful tradition! We are lucky to have so many wonderful places to visit Santa but Santa's Flight Academy at Cherry Creek Mall sits above the rest!

Play Christmas Tunes: Tune in to the Christmas stations all over iTunes, Spotify, and XMRadio! Let the Christmas spirit fill your home and car with seasonal carols!  If you and your family are feeling extra adventurous, make your rounds around your neighborhood or local nursing home!

Give Back to Others: For some the holidays can be a tough time! There are many individuals and families that miss out on holiday gifts, a warn meal, and other necessities! Talk to your families about the true meaning of spirit and giving and how you can help a family in need. Create a Christmas hamper for a family in your community, start a food or clothing drive, or contact your local food bank to see how you can share your blessings this season!
