Agent of the Month: Ryan Finger

After college, Ryan spent almost five years as an Executive Team Leader for Target, which is essentially an Assistant Store Manager. Working as much as he was in this position, with a set salary, and a work schedule that was based around the store’s needs, he needed a change. He went to a few career counselors, took some tests, and found out that Real Estate Agent was listed each time. He decided to reach out to those Agents he knew, and there were so many positives to the Industry that appealed to him. How could setting your own schedule and getting paid for how hard you work, not appeal to you? Ryan says, "I knew four Agents, all at different companies, all suggest Keller Williams. The training that I received starting off was invaluable, and in this career, it certainly never stops."

What drives you to be successful in your life?

This may change at some point, but for now I am driven mainly by the idea of growing my business. I want to expand my database and past clients exponentially over the years upcoming and to gain lasting relationships that generate strong referrals for the rest of my career. I care about each client so much, because gaining raving reviews will be what allows me to grow personally and professionally as I wish.

What do you love about being an agent? And what advice would you give to new agents?

I love that I am in control of how well my future turns out. I care about relationships and my clients, and this field truly allows you to feel great pride in your work. Advise for new agents would include being in the office everyday and the commitment to spending time doing some for of lead generation daily. Any form of lead generation is better than sitting around and waiting for the phone to ring. Try everything, commit yourself to get better at each, and you will find certain areas that lead you towards gaining clients over others.

What do you think about the current Colorado real estate market?

We need Listings. Pretty easy to see when you look at the stats or are in this business showing homes. We are in a Strong Seller’s market, and with the lack of Listings currently available, it cannot change anytime soon. Denver Metro has been crazy hot over the last few years since I started, and I almost don’t know any different at this point. Buyers Purchasing Power continues to decrease with rising interest rates and appreciating pricing all over, so how long can a Home Buyer on the fence continue to wait?

What do you think your most helpful marketing tool is when selling yourself and selling a home?

Having the help of the House Hunters Team, that I work with, is such a huge marketing tool. I admit that my tech skills are not in line with the rest of my generation of early 30-somethings, but I have support that handles those difficult tasks and allows me to be in front of the clients and work the numbers as I feel comfortable doing. I enjoy strategizing out ways to find success, and it often varies with each situation. I market myself to buyers in this crazy market by allowing them to know that I have yet to have to write more than three offers for any client without them being accepted for an offer. Regardless of price point, and especially at a lower price, this should appeal to those listening to the multiple offer situations out there.

What is your favorite feature of this property? What would you say this listings surrounding neighborhood is like? What are some local hotspots around the property? Food, entertainment, parks, and schools?

4973 Xenia St has so many upgrades, hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of them since closing, that it is difficult to pick just one. The Hunter Douglas Auto-Blinds throughout the home that can be raised/lowered with the press of a button or auto-programmed on your phone are pretty convenient. Lot sizes are at a premium in Northfield, but this home has a true backyard for the entire family, one of the largest around. Guest suites on each level is a convenience for any purchaser. Schools are about as highly rated as you could ask, your kids will be pushed and engaged at High Tech, DSST: Stapleton, and then Northfield High.
